I ordered this holder not for a soap dish but as a holder for my hair dryer. I have searched and searched for a nice looking wall mount holder for a dryer and only found cheap looking items or ones that do not afford enough protection to the finish on the hairdryer.This Grohe holder has a built in soft plastic ring which stops the finish being removed from the surface of the dryer. I took a chance on the size and was very lucky as it fits my dryer perfectly. It also looks modern, mounts firmly to the tiled wall and as with all Grohe products is extremely well made.
