I've been using Grandpa's Pine Tar soap for a few years now and am satisfied with its usefulness. Some reviewers dislike the smell and I admit it does have a woodsy smell that is not what some like. The smell doesn't linger long after use, but the soap bar does have a distinctive smell when left in the soap tray that permeates the bathroom. It's not for everyone, especially those that want a perfumed odor. It's manly!I find it can be used for hair with a conditioner afterwards, very good for shaving without the gumminess that most bar soaps have and for body cleansing with a follow-up of body lotion to prevent drying.I recommend it for those who aren't hooked on the perfumed scented soaps that mask odors.
