I like a little razzle dazzle now and then and here and there. This was a bit much for my Italian bedroom suite (my wonderful cousin gifted me something more appropriate) but I decided this was perfect for the vanity area where I really express my eclectic art and design styles. I though it would be some sort of lightweight fluff but no...it's very sturdy, quite eye catching and right up my alley as in meant to be seen as playful rather than subdued and understated - this is not to imply the waste paper bin is not a high quality and well made product because it most certainly is! It appears to be very well constructed and quite substantial but the very look of it discourages me from thinking it may, someday, become a treasured White House artifact. It is available in two other soothing colors; one a sort of pale creamy green and I can't remember the color of the other selection. Perhaps I was overwhelmed by this shade and all others became a fond dream-like memory. If you're so inclined you may want to view the more conservative colors thereby evoking a look of potential White House artifacts!
