I get the feeling this box will not last more than a month. I will update if there is, or is not a change.The construction is very light weight. The wood color is a dark, almost cherry, and is very beautiful. The lid fits rather loosely, but the shape of the box body would be secure with wet hands.UPDATE :The box is too shallow so you will end up with suds all over your hand and counter top. This is better as a jewelry box than shaving soap box. :(My recommendation is to use a coffee mug instead.
