EASY ASSEMBLY TIP Place mason jar implement on top of the jar so that it rests on the rim of jar; Screw down band over implement onto jar, if you have difficulty assembling, run the silicone band over hot water for 30-60 seconds

I worried that it would be flimsy and cheap. It fits perfectly into the mason jar I had bought. It does not come with a ring, so if you have an old jar without a top. You will need to purchase that separately. The pump is made of plastic, but seems sturdy enough. I will update my review if it doesn't last a reasonable time.
